H.B. 2404  RELATING TO AQUACULTURE                      ECD, WAM
HD1, SD1
        Authorizes DOA to establish and assess fees for aquatic
        animal and plant health diagnostic services, and to purchase
        other items or services related to aquaculture planning,
        disease management, and the marketing of seafood products.
        Establishes the Aquaculture Development Special Fund.

H.B. 2438  RELATING TO STATE ENTERPRISE ZONES           ECD, WAM
HD2, SD1
(PROPOSED)
        The contents of this measure shall be removed and replaced
        with language currently in S.B. 2166.  This measure will
        authorize the sale of wind farm generated electricity sold to
        a public utility to qualify for state enterprise zone
        benefits.

        The proposed draft will be available in rooms 210 and 213 on
        Thursday, April 6th, after 5pm.

 
H.B. 2572  RELATING TO KANEOHE BAY                      ECD/WLH, WAM
HD1, SD1
        Gives the Department more flexibility in implementing Kaneohe
        Bay Master Plan recommendations to achieve navigation safety,
        promote resource protection, and meet changing needs and
        conditions.

H.B. 2624  RELATING TO THE UNIVERSITY OF HAWAII         EDU, WAM

        Recodifies the statutory authorization for the seed
        distribution program revolving fund of the University of
        Hawaii.

H.B. 2878  RELATING TO PUBLIC CONTRACTS AND PROCUREMENT  GOH, WAM
HD2, SD1 
        Amends procurement code to require procurement officers to
        sign notarized affidavits that approval to make expenditures
        for a contract was obtained from the department of budget and
        finance; imposes penalties upon procurement officers for
        issuing notices to proceed with contract performance prior to
        obtaining such approval.

H.B. 2554  RELATING TO WORKERS' COMPENSATION            LRE, WAM
HD1
        Applies the 32-week threshold for triggering contribution
        from the Worker's Compensation Special Compensation Fund to
        permanent partial disability cases.  Extends application of
        section 386-33(a) & (b), HRS, to all cases where injury
        occurs before 05/15/82.

H.B. 2354  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE FIFTIETH     TIA, WAM
HD2, SD1 ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATION OF THE KOREAN WAR
        COMMISSION

        Appropriates funds for the 50th Anniversary Commemoration of
        the Korean War Commission.
